Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto briefed 800 high-ranking officers from the Indonesian Military (TNI) and National Police from across the country at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
The briefing was aimed at providing an overview of the challenges facing Indonesia as a nation and state.
“I deliberately invited the high-ranking officers as my administration approaches its second year. I want to provide an overview of the situation we face as a nation and as a state,” President Prabowo said, as quoted from Antara on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
Meanwhile, TNI Commander Gen. Agus Subianto said the event served as an opportunity to align the military’s vision and strengthen solidarity and synergy among TNI personnel in carrying out their duties of service to the nation and state.
Agus said the President’s guidance would serve as an important reference in determining future steps and policies.
“Amid the dynamics of the strategic environment and increasingly complex challenges, including cyber, information, and hybrid threats, the President’s guidance will serve as an important reference in determining our steps and policies, as well as strengthening the TNI’s readiness as the state’s defense instrument,” Agus explained.
A similar view was expressed by National Police Chief Gen. Suyudi Ario Seto. He said the event also served as an opportunity for the police to receive the President’s guidance, policies, and directives.
Suyudi stated that the President’s briefing could serve as a guideline for carrying out duties and leadership within their respective units.
“The National Police is ready to continue supporting the government’s policies and priority programs in accordance with the duties, functions, and authorities of the National Police at all levels, wherever they are. This is particularly in maintaining public security and order, enforcing the law, and providing protection, guidance, and services to the public,” Suyudi said.
The briefing provided a forum for TNI and National Police leaders to align their understanding of the challenges facing the nation and make President Prabowo’s directives a guideline for carrying out their duties across Indonesia.
