Families Urged to Come to the National Police Hospital for Identifying 10 Bodies

Jakarta: The Kramat Jati National Police Hospital is currently accommodating the bodies of 10 victims of the fatal accident between the Argo Bromo Anggrek train and the Commuter Line train at East Bekasi Station. To date, the bodies of the victims have not yet been identified, so the presence of families is highly anticipated due to the coincidence of primary and secondary data.
"According to data from 8:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, 10 bodies at the Kramat Jati National Police Hospital remain unidentified," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, when confirmed on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The Jakarta Metropolitan Police are urging the public who believe they have lost family members following the tragic incident to immediately go to the hospital or report to the emergency post. Family involvement is key to expediting the burial process so that the bodies can be promptly released for burial.
For families seeking further information or reporting missing relatives, the police have set up a special post at the scene that has been operating since last night.
"You can report it through the crisis center post we have set up at the scene. We set up this post last night to prioritize victim care," Budi added.
Budi emphasized that the police are currently focused on facilitating the needs of the victims' families. In addition to medical treatment for the injured, identifying the bodies is a priority to avoid misinformation during this emergency.
"We are prioritizing the care of the victims of this incident. We hope that this post will expedite the provision of assistance to the victims," ??he emphasized.
