Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia’s support for Palestinian independence, calling it a non-negotiable principle for the country.

Speaking at the 28th anniversary celebration of the National Awakening Party (PKB) in Jakarta, Prabowo highlighted Indonesia’s position as a non-aligned nation.

“We have no enemies. We respect all nations and wish to remain free and active,” he said.

The president added that under his administration, Indonesia aims to foster cooperation with countries around the world.

“Our foreign policy is one of being a good neighbor. We want to be good neighbors,” he said.

However, despite Indonesia’s non-aligned stance, Prabowo emphasized that one principle remains unwavering: the country’s support for Palestinian independence.

“We want to maintain good relations with everyone. But what we cannot compromise on is Palestinian independence,” he said.

Prabowo also reiterated Indonesia’s commitment to peace and sovereignty.

“We do not wish to interfere in other countries’ affairs. However, we will defend our sovereignty, independence, and future,” he said.
