President Prabowo Cancels Inauguration of 1,110 IPDN Graduates to Receive Malaysian PM Visit

Sumedang: President Prabowo Subianto has canceled the inauguration of 1,110 graduates of the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN). This sudden cancellation was confirmed by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya.

"We just received information about the cancellation," said Bima Arya in a brief statement on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Bima explained that President Prabowo will attend several state events at the Jakarta Palace. One of them is a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim this afternoon.

"Of course, preparations are needed for that meeting," he added.

Prabowo, Bima said, will also hold a limited meeting (ratas). However, the exact agenda for discussion is still uncertain.

Although the President is unable to attend, the inauguration of 1,110 IPDN cadets will still take place with an official ceremony at the IPDN campus in Jatinangor, West Java. Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian is scheduled to lead the ceremony.
