Jakarta: Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya outlined the agenda for President Prabowo Subianto and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s bilateral meeting on Monday, July 6, 2026.

“There will be 26 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed,” Teddy revealed in Jakarta, as reported by Antara.

Environmental protection and carbon trading will be at the forefront of the agenda, building on the two countries’ previous green commitments.

Indonesia’s Minister of Environment and Head of the Environmental Control Agency (BPLH), Moh Jumhur Hidayat, and Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu, had signed a framework on environmental protection in Jakarta on June 29, 2026.

The framework encompasses various strategic initiatives, including circular economy development, modern waste management, transboundary pollution control, and global climate change mitigation.

Indonesia and Singapore have agreed to conduct technical personnel exchanges, launch joint scientific research, and develop various eco-friendly pilot projects under the framework. The collaboration is also expected to help accelerate green innovation across Southeast Asia.
