President Prabowo: War Should Be the Final Resort!

Jakarta: President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that Indonesia is a peace-loving country. However, if forced, Indonesia will fight so that it is no longer colonized by other countries.

"But I emphasize, for us war is the last resort. We only go to war if forced," said President Prabowo when opening the Indo Defense Expo & Forum at JIEXPO Kemayoran, North Jakarta, Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

President Prabowo quoted the teachings of his predecessors who emphasized the importance of maintaining independence. He emphasized that Indonesia would not submit to anyone.

"We have teachings from our ancestors that it is better for us to die than to be colonized again. We don't want to be ordered around by anyone. We will respect all countries, we will respect and cooperate with them," he explained.

However, he said, no sane nation wants war. Because, war is an act that is destructive and brings destruction.

"No sane nation wants war. War is a destructive human activity. War causes destruction," Prabowo said.
