Jakarta: Peruvian President Dina Boluarte has called on Indonesian business players to invest in a range of strategic projects, including the development of logistics hubs and coastal infrastructure.
“In particular, I invite Indonesian entrepreneurs to become future investors in all logistics, industrial, and technology hubs in Peru’s central coastal region,” Boluarte said during a press conference at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, on Monday, August 11, 2025.
The projects on offer include the new Chancay Port, the modernization of Callao Port, the development of the Jorge Chávez International Airport City, the Ancón Industrial Park, and a special economic zone for the private sector.
According to Boluarte, these initiatives form part of Peru’s grand strategy to become a major logistics hub in the South Pacific region of the Americas.
“We are positioning Peru as a trade integration hub for the Asia-Pacific,” she stressed.
Meanwhile, President Prabowo Subianto announced that the Indonesia–Peru Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IP-CEPA) has been signed, marking a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
“I warmly welcome the signing of the Indonesia–Peru Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. This agreement will expand market access and boost trade between our countries,” Prabowo said.
The Head of State also highlighted the remarkable achievement of concluding the IP-CEPA negotiations in just 14 months—much faster than the average timeframe for similar agreements, which typically takes years.
“Usually, this takes years, but we managed to finalize it in just 14 months,” Prabowo remarked.
