Solo: President Prabowo Subianto met with the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Sunday, July 20, 2025. The meeting took place at Jokowi's residence at Gang Kutai Negara No. 01, Sumber, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City, Central Java.

Prabowo revealed some of the content of his meeting with Jokowi, which lasted approximately 30 minutes. Prabowo admitted to sharing stories about the various diplomatic achievements he had made during his visits to several countries.

"I told (Jokowi) that I had just returned from traveling abroad. He also attended, apparently. I told him about the breakthroughs we achieved yesterday, especially with the European Union. Ten years of negotiations have finally come to fruition," he told reporters at Jokowi's residence.

The Head of State explained that in addition to the agreement with the European Union, he also attended the BRICS meeting in Brazil. Prabowo also recounted meetings with several officials in France and London, and even communications with United States President, Donald Trump.

"Thank God, we got quite good results. I also visited Belarus. They have potash, they need our rubber, and they need many of our commodities," Prabowo said.

Prabowo also highlighted that the surge in chocolate prices was caused by an epidemic affecting cocoa plantations in Latin America and Africa. According to Prabowo, this opens up an opportunity for Indonesia to strengthen its position as a major exporter.

Regarding Jokowi's response to the report, Prabowo stated that the former Jakarta Governor understands and appreciates the process he has gone through, noting that some of the diplomatic steps also began during Jokowi's administration.

"For example, negotiations with the European Union have been going on for 10 years. He understands the difficulty. But now both parties have an interest in resolving them quickly. And thank God, this is an honor for Indonesia," he explained.

Prabowo also highlighted how he was received with distinction in Europe. In closing his statement, Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia remains non-aligned and will continue to collaborate with various parties, including BRICS, the OECD, the CPTPP, and the IPEF.

"Indonesia is accepted by all parties because we are neutral, respect all countries, and do not want to interfere in any country's internal affairs," he emphasized.

Before leaving the former Solo Mayor's residence, Prabowo announced that he would continue his agenda to the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Congress.

Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Angga Raka Prabowo, and Head of the Development Oversight and Special Investigation Agency Aris Marsudianto.
