Beijing: World leaders arrived for the historic Victory Day Parade in Beijing, China, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
The parade was the centerpiece of the 80th Victory Day commemoration in Beijing. The event began with a speech and inspection of troops by Xi Jinping.
Advanced equipment, including missiles, tanks, and fighter jets, was displayed -,along with hundreds of domestically produced aircraft and hundreds of other land-based weapons,- during the 70-minute parade.
World leaders from 26 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America were also in attendance.
Those in attendance included President Prabowo Subianto, Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran, Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, as well as Robert Fico of Slovakia and Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia.
President Prabowo briefly interacted with President Putin while visiting the parade. The heads of state then took a group photo with the Great Hall of the People in the background.
