Jakarta: Suspect in the alleged corruption case involving the electronic ID card (e-KTP) procurement, Paulus Tannos (PT), has filed a pretrial motion with the South Jakarta District Court. The hearing for the lawsuit will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has received information about Tannos' lawsuit. The anti-graft agency respects the decision.
"The KPK respects PT's legal rights to file a pretrial motion in the alleged corruption case related to the e-KTP procurement," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Budi stated that the KPK will fight the lawsuit. The corruption investigation against Tannos has been confirmed to be faultless.
"We believe in the judge's objectivity and independence in ruling on this pretrial motion. We also believe in the commitment of law enforcement to support efforts to eradicate corruption," Budi explained.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will not give up on Tannos's resistance. The state losses in the alleged e-KTP procurement corruption case are significant.
"Furthermore, corruption in the e-KTP procurement has not only resulted in significant state losses but also hampered public services in the population sector," Budi emphasized.
Previously, the Ministry of Law provided an update on the extradition process for fugitive Paulus Tannos. The suspect in the alleged e-KTP procurement corruption case has refused to return to Indonesia.
"PT (Paulus Tannos) is currently not willing to be voluntarily surrendered," said the Director General of General Legal Administration at the Ministry of Law, Widodo, in a written statement on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Widodo stated that the Indonesian government has sought Tannos's repatriation through diplomatic channels. Most recently, Indonesia provided additional information to Singaporean law enforcement on April 23, 2025.
Tannos also underwent a committal hearing in Singapore on June 23, 2025. He is currently applying for a suspension of detention for his arrest, requested by the Indonesian government.
