New York: The Indonesian government is ready to send peacekeeping troops to the United Nations mission, in an effort to contribute to ending the violence and achieving peace in the Palestine-Israel conflict.
This statement was made by President Prabowo Subianto in a speech at the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution at UN Headquarters in New York, United States, on Monday, September 22, 2025.
"We are ready to take our part in this journey. We are ready to provide and send Indonesian peacekeeping troops to the UN mission," Prabowo stated before world leaders.
He declared that ending the war and ensuring security for all parties are urgent priorities for the international community. Earlier in his speech, Prabowo promised to strengthen the war in Gaza and end the humanitarian disaster in the besieged territory.
Prabowo also urged Israel to recognize the State of Palestine for the sake of peace in the Middle East. He reiterated Indonesia's support for the New York Declaration, which emphasizes the Two-State Solution as the only way to resolve the Palestine-Israel conflict.
