Jakarta: The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is continuing its reform agenda for Indonesia's capital market by strengthening transparency, law enforcement, and liquidity. These efforts have received support from the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF), a forum of capital market regulators from ASEAN member states.

OJK Deputy Commissioner for Financial System Stability Agus E. Siregar said the ACMF's support represents regional recognition of Indonesia's reform measures, as well as encouragement to improve the integrity and competitiveness of the national capital market.

"OJK appreciates the ACMF's support as a form of regional recognition of Indonesia's capital market reform measures, and as momentum to continue strengthening the integrity, credibility, and competitiveness of the national capital market," Agus said in an official statement in Jakarta, as quoted by Antara on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

OJK is committed to consistently pursuing capital market reform by strengthening governance, improving the quality of information disclosure, enhancing the effectiveness of supervision, and reinforcing law enforcement.

These measures are also aimed at building a more transparent, liquid, and efficient market structure. OJK considers strengthening these aspects essential to improving investor protection and market participants' confidence.

"These measures are part of OJK's efforts to strengthen investor protection, increase market participants' confidence, and ensure that Indonesia's capital market continues to develop in line with international best practices and standards," Agus said.

ACMF supports strengthening of Indonesia's capital market

The ACMF is a forum of capital market regulators in the ASEAN region comprising 11 member countries. OJK participates in the forum's various working groups and high-level meetings.

In its official statement, the ACMF expressed support for Indonesia's strategic steps to strengthen the development of its national capital market. The forum also acknowledged the progress of Indonesia's regulatory reforms and supported the continuity and long-term impact of these improvement measures.

This support is in line with cooperation among the region's capital market regulators to enhance transparency, strengthen enforcement against market violations, and promote liquidity and sustainable capital market development.

In addition to discussing Indonesia's capital market reform, the ACMF continued discussions on implementing the ACMF Action Plan 2026–2030. The agenda covers improving capital market connectivity, developing sustainable finance, strengthening corporate governance, developing the Islamic capital market, and cooperation in supervision and law enforcement.

On market connectivity, initiatives under development include the Depositary Receipt Issuance Handbook, the Roadmap for ASEAN Cross-Listings, and ASEAN Indices.

The ACMF is also promoting the development of cross-border collective investment through the ASEAN Collective Investment Schemes. The initiative aims to broaden cross-border investment access and strengthen ASEAN's appeal as a global investment destination.

Meanwhile, the ACMF is continuing efforts to develop sustainable finance, improve the quality of sustainability disclosures, and promote good corporate governance to support the credibility of the region's capital markets.

OJK affirmed that it will continue participating in various ACMF initiatives and strengthen coordination with capital market regulators in the region. Through domestic reforms and regional cooperation, OJK seeks to build an Indonesian capital market that has integrity and is resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.
